Bird's Nest Bar, Super Big Shoe, They Kiss Again DVD, randoms..

After lunch at Kim Gary's, hubby and I decide to "walk walk" in vivocity.

Hubby bought these DVDs to backup his laptop and my comp.
But I think it's not enough leh.
*There is a "joke" about this DVD, will blog about it in another post.* :)

We went to so many bookstores to look for his books, but cannot find loh.
Then I suddenly remember I want to do my eyebrows. So we went to do my brows. :)
But alas. The very pretty girl at the counter tell me that they don't do eyebrow treading on Sundays cause the person not around and she advise me to call next time before going down cause the place quite packed even on weekdays. So now I have ugly eyebrows! :(

By the time we walked out of the shop, I'm thirsty already. Then hubby and I pass-by this Dragon Brand's Shop and I notice that they have cooler and pretty chairs inside. So I went closer to check them out. It's a Bird's Nest Bar!!! A quick look at their price list. Not expensive loh! I used to think Bird's Nest very very expensive one leh. :p

Hubby treated us to one bowl each. This cup/bowl is actually heart shaped. So you can actually choose not to use spoon and just drink straight from the cup!

Bird's Nest Bar Loyalty Club. hahas.

I notice this interesting thing and asked hubby to get it too. Heh.
The Chinese words on the packet means : Eight Treasure Tea :)

We walked some more after that and guess what we saw???
Super Huge Converse Shoes! muahaha...

I look super duper ugly and fat in this photo loh.
I was thinking of cutting away my face before posting, but then I forget, guess you all will have nightmares tonight liao. :p

Anyway, on Saturday we went to Ikea remember?
After eating, shopping and buying some small stuffs from IKEA, hubby and I went to Queensway Shopping Centre to look for his running shoes! We went to 5-6 shops, out of which only 2 have the design he wants, the rest don't have. But out of the 2 shops, both shops also don't have his shoe size! *Hahahahas...* My turn to laugh at him! :p

So since he really needs a new pair of shoes, he had to choose other designs loh and guess what? He end up all the nice designs shoes he choose are all ladies shoes! *Muahahaha...* So the shop attendant and I help him to find a pair he can wear and yet not too bad looking. :P

Before we left the shop, I decide to get a Nike basketball, cause the 2 basketballs at my house like always no air one. I forget to take photo of the basketball. :p

After shopping for his shoes I wanted something to drink, so we went to Anchorpoint to get drinks. (Why we didn't buy drinks at Queensway Shopping Centre? -ask me then I tell you)

Anchorpoint looks very very different now loh! When I get my pay, I'm going to shop there. muahahaha... (Shoot, somehow hubby can read my mindlaugh, he just told me I'm not supposed to anyhow spend my pay cause it's supposed to help me last till I get a job and get my "first pay". -.-)

By the way, there's this newly opened shop there that's selling a lot of Hello Kitty stuffs. Think Daphne would love that shop!

Alright, this post is getting a little far too long already.
Hubby and I shopped at Anchorpoint and bought some random stuffs.

They Kiss Again DVD Part 1. I finished the discs in less than 2days. LOL.
Now waiting for Part 2 to come out! :)

Random stuffs I got at Watsons.

Okay.. I'm on this post for about 2 hours already!
Got to go find food. Uglyfatchick is hungry!!!

HK Kim Gary Cafe/Restaurant (VivoCity) 06 April 2008

Hubby and I had always wanted to try the food at this Kim Gary Cafe, after countless times of seeing super duper long queues outside this cafe? Restaurant?

On 6th April 2008 (Sunday), Hubby and I decide to make a trip to vivocity to try their food.

We were a little early and there wasn't many people in the shop. We got a seat there’s near the window, but I wanted this seat in the corner that looks very comfortable and cozy. The waiter told us that the table is reserved for their staffs to have their lunch. So we didn't get that table. :(

Their cutlery comes in mini plastic box.

Anyway, to cut this "review" short, hubby and I didn't like our food.
The food we ordered and had don’t seems to "justify" the queues we saw.

The noodle I had smells really really nice (the onions) but really didn't taste as good as it smells. I ate less than half of it. The meat’s a little too tough (overcooked or something), my drink is a little too sweet, even the mini drumsticks thingy was only average.

Hubby didn't know I took this. Don't tell him hor... Sh.... :P

The only item hubby liked, was his Iced Yuan Yang.
Maybe we ordered the wrong stuffs, will try them again when I’m in better mood.

I have to rant about their service! After we’re done with our food, we wanted to go to their counter to pay, but when we stand up, they came to us and say they’ll bring us our bill. So we sat and waited for the bill. Waited for quite a while before the bill came. Hubby gave this waitress his credit card to pay for our bill and she went and never came back!!! We waited about 10mins and decide to ask another staff for our bill. We waited another 1-2mins before darling’s bill came back to us. -.-

Next time I’m so gonna use the exact amount so I don’t have to wait for the change or cards.

Golden Village Gold Class (Vivocity) 07 Feb 2008

First night of Chinese New Year 2008, I decided to give hubby and myself a little treat. I manage to book 2 gold class tickets at SGD30.00 each for “CJ7” and right after that movie, “Kungfu Dunk” SGD10.00 each ticket in the normal rooms.

Kungfu Dunk Movie Trailer.

Jay looks funny here.

Arh!!! They "cut" Jay!!! :p

CJ7 Movie Trailer.

Since we're watching gold class, we get to go into the gold class lounge. By the way, during CNY period, they opened the lounge to public! :)

CNY deco on the doors.

CNY deco inside, on a display table or was it a shelf?

I was in a rush, thus the blurry photo. CNY deco!

Guess what's this???

I know I look like ghost here, but honestly I think it's the lighting. heehee. :p

We sat around in this lounge while waiting for the show to start. Since we have yet to have dinner, hubby decide to order some food. Which we love a lot yet regret later. Read on to find out why. :)

Yup, it's the GOLD CLASS menu. :p

My heart almost skipped a beat when we were in the theater.
The armchairs are like so huge!!!
I sat down and pulled the blanket provided, which is placed at the side of the armchair.
While I spread out the blanket, hubby started playing with the buttons...
located at the side of the armchair. (What other buttons were you thinking??)

I know by now you think we both are such mountain turtles.
But no ones else was there yet, so we were like in our own world kind of thing. *grins*

My hubby is in love with the chair!!! Look at his face! lols.
He looks so uncle right? hahahas..

The buttons allow you to adjust the seat according to how you like. You can even lie down to watch the movie if you like. No worries, even if you’re lying down, you wouldn’t be blocked by anyone!!! The armchair was like a bed to me. so big, so comfortable.

Now, to talk about the food...
Hubby and I love the food! but..
We either ordered too much or their portions are too huge! :p We couldn’t finish our food loh.
I didn't like the cheese in my salad. :(

I like darling's mushy soup!!! Very nice! :)

There's a pizza which I couldn't take a photo of.

Right after the movie, we went straight to the normal room to catch “Kongfu Dunk”. Suddenly the seats all looks so small. lols. But seriously, for the amount of comfort, SGD30.00 per ticket is really worth it! We will be back!

White Dog Cafe 21 March 2008

1 year ago, hubby and I ate at the same place! :)

We pass-by White Dog Cafe and decide to eat there again.

White Dog Cafe.

Unlike their next door neighbour, they didn't have a long queue outside even though it's pretty packed inside, so we didn't wait long.

I had to use my phone's camera to take photos (thus the blurry photos) because I forget to bring my camera out! Hubby says I always either forget to charge my camera battery or forget to bring them out.

Hubby's Lobster Bisque. He loves it! :)

My Clam Chowder! Yummy yummy. :)

This is my steak. Super yummy. :)

This is hubby's Fat Pork Knuckle!

OMG! Look at how fat it is...

Piggy: "I'm not fat, I'm just big-boned!"

The food ain't too bad, but we really like the soups! Especially hubby, who's totally in love with their Lobster Bisque. Next time we'll just go there for the soups. :p

My current favourite place to eat and shop is..

located at 317 Alexandra. *grins*
They have their own restaurant located at the 2nd level.
Their restaurant is pretty famous for their Swedish Meatballs!
I also like their chicken wings and smoked salmon. :)
Can you guess where's it now?

When hubby and I went to have our fix of chicken wings and Swedish meatballs on 5th April 2008, we saw bad news at the Restaurant.

The restaurant would be closed from 7th April to 22May!
I'm so upset can. :(

Because the restaurant is normally always full, we always attack in this order.

1) Find seats.
2) While looking for table, discuss what we want to eat.
3) After finding the table, one person sits to "chop the table".
4) The other person clears table and quickly runs off to buy food for both.
5) Attack the food. :)
6) Clear own table after finishing.

Taken while waiting for hubby to come back with our food! :)

Anyway, what I thought is interesting at Ikea, is that on their tables, instead of signs introducing food, they have signs advertising their furniture! They feature different furniture at different tables. Cute right? :)

On 5th, we had chicken wings, smoked salmon, meatballs and lime jelly. The price is pretty average. Not too expensive, only trouble is looking for seats and clearing the table on your own if you don't wanna wait for the helpers to help you clear them.

There are 5 types of chicken wings that I love.
1) Crystal Jade Fried Chicken Wings
2) Yoke Kuai BBQ Sweet and spicy Chicken Wings
3) IKEA Fried Chicken Wings
4) Yoke Kuai BBQ Chicken's Wing
5) Boiled Chicken Wings also known as White Chicken Wings.

IKEA's Smoked Salmon. :)

The MEATBALLS! -Hubby's Favourite.

Both hubby and I love the food at Ikea. :)
Blogging this at 4am in the morning is really the wrong time eh?
I really really hungry already lah. :(

Can't wait to go back there to eat and shop again.
I need a few more items to complete my "room makeover". *happy*
I love my cozy lil room. :)
